Ladies Night Out!

Dont forget about out ladies night out happening tonight from 4-7! you'll see a Chicago Outfitters Trunk show and be able to take advantage of our fabulous sales including shoes $10 off! Mary Kay, Jamberry Nails, and Whelan Eye Care will also be present and coffee floats and lemonade will be available! After the Trunk show fun is over, head to the Blue Ox Bar for their new, event inspired menu items as well as drink specials and a fire show!

A Touch of Fancy: Ladies Night Out!

As you may have heard, we have many events happening all weekend at the Bemidji Design Center to fundraise for Jasmine Carlson. To kick off this fun weekend, we are having a Ladies Night Out Friday night from 4-7. It will feature a Chicago Outfitters Trunk Show (Before and Again & Ecru clothing brands). During this time Mary Kay and Whelan Eye Care will also be present and there will be great deals going on all night including $10 off all shoes as well as many other specials! So grab your girls and head to the Bemidji Design Center Friday July 20th from 4-7 for the trunk show and head to the Blue Ox Bar afterwords to try their all new menu items along with some drinks and fire spinning!

This is all just the beginning, though, of our fun planned weekend! Join us Saturday for a family friendly day filled with events for all ages-- Kids fun run at 11:30AM, shakes by Bemidji Breeze, coffee floats, paintings, face painting etc.

Fundraising Weekend: July 20-22

Jasmine Carlson is a duathlete from Becida, MN and is one of Bemidji's most beloved and inspiring young women. Jasmine received the honor of being chosen to be one of the athletes to represent the US in the upcoming World Duathlon Championships in Nancy, France, September 22-23, 2012!

Team USA is a non-profit organization meaning that they do not provide athletes with travel, food or lodging. We (Bemidji Design Center) along with many other great, local companies want to show our support to Jasmine by helping her raise money, not only for her expenses for this chance-of-a-lifetime experience, but for her to bring her loved ones along as well.

Please help show your support to Jasmine by joining us July 20-22nd in the parking lot near the Bemidji Mercantile Design Center and The Blue Ox for our eventful fundraising weekend!

Friday from 4 to 7 we're kicking off our celebration weekend with a fabulous Before and Again Trunk Show! Also, Whelan Eye Care, Bemidji Breeze, Mary Kay, and Jamberry Nails will be here! Bring all your friends, it's an event you DO NOT want to miss!! Hope to see you all there!

MISSION: TEAM USA- Jasmine Carlson



Jasmine Carlson is a duathlete from Becida, MN and is one of Bemidji's most beloved and inspiring young women.

Jasmine, for the past two years, has been training extremely hard and has ran in numerous races both in and out of state. last year she completed and scored in the top 15 at her first multi sport event ever-- The Iron Girl Duathlon in Minneapolis, MN. This race lead her to compete in the National Duathlon Championship in Tuscan, AZ. "This event will qualify athletes for team USA, allowing athletes to represent the United States in Nancy, France, for the 2012 ITU short course Duathlon World Championships."

Her hard work and dedication paid off, and that race proved it; Jasmine received the honor of being chosen to be one of the athletes to represent the US in the upcoming World Duathlon Championships in Nancy, France, September 22-23, 2012!

For those of you still scratching your head, wondering what a duathlon is, let me get you up to speed. A duathlon is a very challenging sport where an athlete must first run a 5k then continue with a 35k bike race followed by another 5k. Needless to say, to do something like that would take a lot of hard work and dedication, and this girl has worked her butt off to have rightfully earned her spot on Team USA this year.

The inspiring young woman stated on her Team USA Facebook page that "I feel like i will be representing more than just our country, but i am also representing rural communities and women in athletics. I want others to be encouraged that even though they live in a rural community, they can still make a large impact and reach their goals no matter what they may be"... what a great role model!

Poetic Licence Shoes!

Bemidji Design Center is now carrying Poetic Licence shoes! If your not familiar with the brand heres a little history for you:

Poetic Licence was founded in London, England in 2005 by a group of girls loving and living fashion. They take their unique inspiration from love of things past and they artfully incorperate it into modern design to create a line of beautifully vintage shoes! Later, they expanded out to the US and Brighton (a town located in the southeast coast of England) to continue selling their unique shoes.
