About Bemidji Design Center

Furniture • Flooring • Boutique

The Bemidji Design Center was founded in 1971 by Sid and Janice Moe and later purchased by their daughter and son-in-law, Kristie and Royce Southerland, in 2006. Just a short year later Royce and Kristie started the expansion of their business by purchasing a 42,000 sq ft facility (their current location) facing lake Bemidji in Union Square Downtown.
Kristi and Royce continue to expand the Bemidji Design Center by updating the flooring showroom to the all new Shaw Flooring Design Center, adding Clothing fashions, boutique items, and updated furniture to provide more unique designs and styles.
This all new format has become a destination where Kristie’s eye for design, style, and vision to have “fashion meets furniture” has transformed the family business to the destination no known as: Bemidji Mercantile’s Design Center
